48 Hours to Escape the Equalizer
Issue 007
Hello Tipsy Reelz Community,
Tipsy Reelz is a monthly email, sent on the first Thursday of each month. It will include three movies from different genres, fun facts about the movies and some drinking game rules to go with them. We will also include where these movies are currently available for streaming. Please feel free to share these with your friends.

48 Hrs. (1982) Fun Facts
James Remar often went without any sleep before shooting his scenes in order to give bad-guy Ganz a more washed-out, psychotic look.
The first scene at the police station, which begins at around the twenty minute mark, was apparently shot in a single take. It lasts three minutes, with no visible cuts.
Eddie Murphy revealed on Inside the Actors Studio (1994) that he didn't know how to "act" when drawing a gun, so he simply did what he did in every movie since: impersonate the facial expression of a ready for battle martial arts legend Bruce Lee.
GAME RULES!

Drink when Jack and his girlfriend argues.
Drink when a shootout occurs.

As of publishing, 48 Hrs. is streaming on Paramount+.

Escape Room (2019) Fun Facts
After the death of five Polish teenagers, killed by fire in a real-life tragedy which occurred within an escape room in Poland, the release date of the film was pushed back a few months in a number of countries out of respect for the girls who died.
The name of the escape room company is Minos. Minos was a Greek mythological figure, first king of Crete, son of Zeus and Europa, who had a labyrinth built to put the Minotaur in. Every nine years, he would send seven boys and seven girls into the Minotaur's labyrinth to act as the monster's food.
The 4th film relating to escape rooms released within 2 years, after Escape Room (2017), Escape Room (2017) and No Escape Room (2018).

The Equalizer (2014) Fun Facts
Teri was originally written for an older actress, but Chloë Grace Moretz impressed director Antoine Fuqua so much, he made the role younger. She was 17 years old when the film was released.
Became Denzel Washington's first trilogy/ movie series.
The script originally had no back story about Robert, so Denzel Washington contributed much to the character's background and back story, including McCall having obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). In addition to his daily physical and fight training before filming, Washington met and interviewed several real-life OCD sufferers in order to gain insights on how to play that disorder correctly.
GAME RULES!
Drink when a clock appears or someone checks the time.
Drink when Robert McCall (Denzel) has an OCD ritual.
Drink when someone dies.

As of publishing, The Equalizer is streaming on fubo and Peacock.
