Hello Tipsy Reelz Community,

Tipsy Reelz is a monthly email, sent on the first Thursday of each month.  It will include three movies from different genres, fun facts about the movies and some drinking game rules to go with them. We will also include where these movies are currently available for streaming. Please feel free to share these with your friends.

22 Jump Street (2014) Fun Facts

• • For the theatrical run, a small cough could be heard during the opening Sony logo. It was taken out of the DVD and Blu-ray releases to prevent viewers from thinking someone was in their home.

  • At 53 mins., the old guy with the broken ankle trying to pass Jonah Hill wasn't a planned bit. It cuts right before Hill turns to the camera to ask what the hell that was about as he was wondering if the filmmakers were messing around with him. "I'm just gonna stay in the scene and see what happens," he recalls thinking.

  • Channing Tatum refers to being in the Secret Service at the White House, like his role in White House Down (2013).

Beverly Hills Cop 2 (1987) Fun Facts

• This is the first film Eddie Murphy wrote or co-wrote.

• Axel introduces himself at the gun club as "Richard James". This is a nod to Rick James, Eddie Murphy's musician friend who produced his 1986 album.

• The license plate 2GAT123 also appears in L.A. Story (1991), Go (1999), Pay It Forward (2000), Traffic (2000), Crazy/Beautiful (2001), Mulholland Drive (2001), S.W.A.T. (2003), Life (2007) and Two and a Half Men (2003). It is the California standard fictional license plate, analogous to a "555" telephone number.

Jumanji: The Next Level (2019) Fun Facts

• Saw one of the fastest turnarounds from filming to theatrical release for a major studio film. Filming did not begin until February 2019 and wrapped four months later in May, for a December release only seven months later. Most films complete filming nearly a year before their release.

• During filming, Jack Black was running a behind-the-scenes vlog for his "Jablinski Games" YouTube channel.

• Marks the fourth collaboration between Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart having worked together in Central Intelligence (2016), Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017), and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019), in which Hart had a cameo appearance.
