Hello Tipsy Reelz Community,

Tipsy Reelz is a monthly email, sent on the first Thursday of each month.  It will include three movies from different genres, fun facts about the movies and some drinking game rules to go with them. We will also include where these movies are currently available for streaming. Please feel free to share these with your friends.

Bad Teacher (2011) Fun Facts

• Throughout the movie, Cameron Diaz wears mostly Christian Louboutin shoes. This is due to a contract between the movie producers and Louboutin himself for marketing his company's red-soled shoes.

• Phyllis Smith was cast in Pixar's Inside Out (2015) based on her performance in this film.

• Early in the film, Elizabeth (Cameron Diaz) is looking at a magazine spread of celebrity "red carpet" arrivals to decide what breasts she wants for her implants surgery. The photos are of Heather Graham (2010 Golden Globes); Katy Perry (2010 Vanity Fair); and Rose McGowan (2010 pre-Oscar dinner). Diaz also appeared on the red carpet at all three events.

Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping (2016) Fun Facts

• In this movie, Seal says he got the scars on his face from wolves. In real life, he got the scars from lupus, an autoimmune disease. The scientific name for wolves is "Canis lupus".

• The real-life rappers (50 Cent, Diddy, Nas, etc.) talking about their love for Style Boyz were not scripted. Their responses were based on questions asked by The Lonely Island as if it were about the real-life rap group Beastie Boys.

• The sudden on-stage break-up of The Style Boyz is similar to a real-life incident with Glenn Frey and Don Felder of The Eagles in 1980, which led to the band splitting a few days later.

Edison (2005) Fun Facts

• Originally set for a U.S. theatrical release in 2005, the film was pushed back after poor test screenings. Ultimately the film was release direct-to-DVD in the domestic market, after remaining unreleased during a sustained time of uncertainty.

• When a Twitter user asked his followers for a bad Kevin Spacey movie, Kevin Spacey himself replied, "Edison".

• When Lazerov kills the drug dealer in the opening scene, he doesn't even use the revolver they plant as the murder weapon to kill him, he uses his police issued 9mm. an unfired gun with a different type bullet would obviously reveal foul play.

• Drink when someone says “Edison”.

• Drink when someone dies.

• Drink when Lazerov is out of control.
