Hello Tipsy Reelz Community,
Tipsy Reelz is a monthly email, sent on the first Thursday of each month. It will include three movies from different genres, fun facts about the movies and some drinking game rules to go with them. We will also include where these movies are currently available for streaming. Please feel free to share these with your friends.
The Union (2024) Fun Facts
Ironically, in the United States, Mark Wahlberg is not allowed to possess an actual firearm in any manner due to a Felony conviction in 1988.
When Mike enters the bar at the start of the film, you can see radio guy standing outside. Radio guy is famous for making appearances in films that are shot primarily in New York
In this movie, Halle Berry and Mark Wahlberg were supposed to be classmates in High School. In reality, Berry is six years older than Wahlberg and would have graduated before Wahlberg entered Junior High School (or at his first year of Middle School).

Hackers (1995) Fun Facts
Jonny Lee Miller and Angelina Jolie were married shortly after the making of the film, and then were divorced four years later.
The cast were given three weeks to hang out together, get to know each other better and learn how to Rollerblade properly before filming began. They also spent most of that time studying computers and hacking.
The film's writer, director, and some cast members attended the New York City 2600 meeting, a monthly hangout of the local hacker community, to observe and talk with real-life hackers.

Quick Change (1990) Fun Facts
A Local Gang offered to be paid security and when Bill Murray turned them down, all the camera equipment went 'missing' , which postponed filming.
When original director Jonathan Demme became unavailable, writer Howard Franklin and producer Bill Murray couldn't agree on who would be a good director for the project. So they decided to do the job themselves.
The watch that the bank employee tries to give Grimm (Bill Murray) is "an Audemars Piguet, Moon Phase, 18-karat gold, alligator band" watch. He states the value is $12,000, but appreciates daily. It may be a coincidence, but in Bill Murray's Scrooged (1988), he is wearing the same watch, which can be seen when he checks the time in the restaurant (before the waiter lights on fire), expecting to see his first foretold ghost.

Beetlejuice (1988) Fun Facts
This is Michael Keaton's favorite film of his own.
The film was the first DVD sent out by Netflix in 1998.
Michael Keaton, playing the title character, only appears in 14.5 minutes of the film.
Along with Spaceballs (1987), Big (1988), and Caddyshack II (1988), it is notable for containing the "F" word in a film rated PG during the new PG-13 era.
