The Puppetman Ghost Gets A Tarot Reading

Hello Tipsy Reelz Community,

 

Tipsy Reelz is a monthly email, sent on the first Thursday of each month.  It will include three movies from different genres, fun facts about the movies and some drinking game rules to go with them. We will also include where these movies are currently available for streaming. Please feel free to share these with your friends.

We Have A Ghost (2023) Fun Facts

  • License plate for the Audi in the end reads "B00 YA".

  • David Harbour and Anthony Mackie both appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as characters related to Captain America. Joy also mentions "the Bad Guy from The Matrix (1999)," played by Hugo Weaving, who also appeared in a Captain America film.

  • Before deciding to pursue acting, Anthony Mackie studied to become an oil-refinery engineer at a New Orleans trade school.

  • The tarot card deck used in the movie was specifically created for it.

  • Harriet Slaghter has been a vegetarian sense she was 6 years old, out of choice.

  • Loosely based on the 1992 novel "Horrorscope", written by Nicholas Adams.

The Puppetman (2024) Fun Facts

  • The movie completed shooting in only twenty days.

  • Alyson Gorske earned a full-time scholarship to attend the prestigious Stella Adler Academy of Acting on Hollywood Boulevard before accepting a merit-based scholarship at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts - both being top Los Angeles institutions.

  • Matt Manjourides came up with the original Puppetman idea after listening to a version of the song "Puppet Man", being a 1969 song written by Neil Sedaka and Howard Greenfield and a 1971 hit for Tom Jones.
