Hello Tipsy Reelz Community,

Tipsy Reelz is a monthly email, sent on the first Thursday of each month.  It will include three movies from different genres, fun facts about the movies and some drinking game rules to go with them. We will also include where these movies are currently available for streaming. Please feel free to share these with your friends.

Back in Action (2025) Fun Facts

• Jamie Foxx suffered a brain bleed leading to a stroke on set during filming in April 2023, leading to emergency surgery and a months-long recovery, before fully recovering and returning to set to finish filming. During his recovery, he had to re-learn to walk and undergo intense speech therapy to regain full use of his speech. It was said he had a 5% chance of survival, but defied the odds and made a full recovery.

• Despite being a married couple, Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz's characters never share an on screen kiss.

• Cameron Diaz's first film following her retirement in 2014; her previous film was Annie (2014), which also starred Jamie Foxx.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024) Fun Facts

• Tim Burton has said that this film would only be made if Michael Keaton would return to reprise his role. Keaton said in March of 2014 that this is the only sequel he's interested in doing.

• Both Michael Keaton and director Tim Burton opted to keep the character as politically incorrect as he was in the original film due to their love for that character trait in spite of the political correctness in modern films because "he doesn't evolve."

• Jenna Ortega revealed that Justin Theroux was one of the hardest people to work with because he kept making her burst out laughing and breaking character. And Theroux shared that Catherine O'Hara was the one that made him constantly break character.

• This is the first time Eddie Murphy plays a villain.

• Sonja Davis, who was Angela Bassett’s stunt double. died due to an accident on the set.

• This was director Wes Craven’s twelfth film.

• According to Murphy, he only agreed to do the film in exchange for Paramount giving him the rights to The Nutty Professor.
